Young Artists Program

Based on the best points of the most established pre-college programs in the world, this signature program aims to give young people a world-class musical education regardless of their location. A select number of students join in Dr. Brown’s class and participate in this rich educational initiative every year.

This program runs from mid-September to mid-June each year, with the option to continue during the summer session

What does it include?

  • Weekly Private Lessons

    These one on one sessions of 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes allow us to develop technical skills, grow musicianship and work towards goals that are tailored to each student’s progress and strengths.

  • Weekly Group class

    Organized by level, these classes give young violinists the opportunity to perform weekly, connect with other young people from around the world, explore level and age-appropriate concepts in music theory, history, musicianship, world music, composition and more.

  • Senior Repertoire Class Series

    Aimed at advanced young violinists, this program offers performance and masterclass opportunities with international artists throughout the year. Participation is by invitation only.

  • Recitals

    The program presents a minimum of 10 virtual recitals a year.

  • Priority Registration

    Our summer program sell out quickly every year. Students in this program have priority access to registration and preferred rates.

  • This program runs from mid-September to mid-June each year, with the option to continue during the summer session. Private lessons and group classes happen weekly, while the senior rep classes are held on a monthly basis.

  • All activities happen online.

  • Young violinists of all ages, levels and nationalities take part in the program. Children of every level and nationality are encouraged to apply.

  • A limited number of places become available each year. Entrance is by audition and opens in early March each year. Check back for details, or subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.
