The Intensive Weeks

Our most popular summer programs, these once-a-year experiences are for advanced violinists working at a minimum of RCM Level 7. 

In addition to our daily technique “Boot Camp” class and recital, each participant plays in a master class for a different internationally recognized guest artist teacher EVERY DAY.

What does it include?

Each participant’s program is tailored to their age, ability, strengths and challenges, in consultation with their home teacher. The program includes:

  • Daily 1:1 masterclass lesson with a different master teacher each day

  • Daily technique class focussed on advanced fundamentals of violin playing

  • The 2023 edition of the Technique Bootcamp e-book to use during class, and throughout the year.

  • Multiple performance opportunities

  • A discounted annual subscription to TomPlay.com for music-making all year long.

    Places are limited in order to guarantee a personalized experience.

  • Young violinists aged 10-18 working at an an advanced level.

    RCM : Levels 7 and above

    Suzuki Method: Book 8+

  • This program takes place entirely online. Each day’s programming is designed to minimize parental involvement after the participants have signed on.

  • 1) Record 2 contrasting pieces of the appropriate level (No accompaniment is required)
